This Privacy Policy describes how AI STL Generator ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information, which may include Personal Data, when you access or use our website, tools, and services (collectively, the "Services"). To provide our 3D generation and conversion tools, AI STL Generator collects information you provide directly to us:

Core 3D Service Data

  • Input Reference Images & Files: We collect the 2D images (such as concept sketches, photos, logos, or line art in JPG, PNG, or WEBP formats) and 3D files (such as 3MF or STL files) that you upload for 3D reconstruction, mesh repair, conversion, or browser inspection.
  • Text Prompts & Generation Parameters: We collect the text descriptions, prompts, style tags, and quality parameters (such as polygon density, detail levels, and dimension settings) you submit.
  • Generated 3D Assets: We temporarily store the resulting 3D geometry files (STL, OBJ, 3MF), render previews, and metadata (such as vertex count, face count, and manifold validation logs) so you can view, edit, and download your models.

Privacy Commitment: AI STL Generator does not use your uploaded private reference images or generated 3D models to train public AI foundation models, nor do we sell or license your private assets to third parties without your explicit authorization.

Account and Billing Information

  • Account Credentials: When you register or sign in (via Google OAuth or email OTP), we collect your email address, display name, and unique user identifier.
  • Transaction Details: When you purchase subscription plans or credit packs, our third-party payment processors (such as Subotiz or PayPal) collect payment credentials and billing details. We do not store raw credit card numbers on our servers; we retain only order identifiers, transaction status, and credit ledger records.

Customer Communications

When you reach out to our support team for troubleshooting, generation issues, or general inquiries, we collect your email address, message contents, and relevant task identifiers to assist you and improve service quality.

2. DATA COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

When you navigate and use AI STL Generator, we automatically log certain diagnostic and usage information, including:

  • IP address and approximate geographical region;
  • Device and browser information (browser type, operating system, WebGL hardware capabilities for 3D rendering);
  • Session and usage logs (pages visited, features used, generation duration, error rates, and credit balance changes);
  • Cookies and similar local storage technologies used to maintain session persistence and user preferences.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

We process your data for the following legitimate business and contractual purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To operate our AI neural mesh pipeline, compute geometry, repair non-manifold edges, render WebGL 3D previews in real time, and deliver downloadable STL/OBJ files;
  • Account & Credit Management: To maintain your user account, track credit consumption, and handle automatic task recovery;
  • Customer Support: To diagnose generation failures, assist with slicer compatibility queries, and resolve technical issues;
  • Safety and Abuse Prevention: To enforce our Terms & Conditions and prevent malicious activity, including automated scraping, denial-of-service attempts, and the generation of prohibited items (such as 3D printable firearms, weapons, or illegal contraband);
  • Product Improvement: To monitor system latency, optimize mesh reconstruction algorithms, and enhance overall platform reliability (using de-identified, aggregated telemetry);
  • Legal Compliance: To fulfill tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, and to comply with lawful governmental or law enforcement requests.

4. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, our legal basis for collecting and processing your personal data includes:

  • Performance of a Contract: Processing required to fulfill our service agreement with you (e.g., generating your 3D models and managing your credit balance);
  • Legitimate Interests: Processing necessary for platform security, fraud prevention, service enhancement, and business administration;
  • Compliance with Legal Obligations: Processing necessary to comply with applicable tax, financial, and legal requirements;
  • Consent: Where you have given explicit consent (e.g., opting in to marketing newsletters), which you may withdraw at any time.

5. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Infrastructure and AI Processing Partners: Trusted cloud providers (e.g., Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare R2 storage) and specialized 3D inference infrastructure partners that process tasks strictly on our behalf under confidentiality and data protection agreements;
  • Payment Processors: Regulated payment gateways to securely process purchases and subscriptions;

6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

  • Account Data: Retained for as long as your account remains active or as needed to comply with financial reporting laws.
  • Generated Assets & Uploads: Generated 3D files and uploaded references are stored in our secure object storage to allow you to inspect and download your creations. We reserve the right to prune or delete temporary assets from inactive accounts after a reasonable retention period.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated generation history at any time by contacting our support team.

7. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  1. Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  2. Correction: Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal information;
  3. Erasure: Request that we delete your personal data ("Right to be Forgotten"), subject to legal retention obligations;
  4. Restriction & Objection: Object to or restrict certain types of data processing, including direct marketing;
  5. Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format;
